Build

What should this actually be?

  • Your site looks fine and nobody books.
  • You're moving the same information between four apps by hand.
  • Someone sent you a picture of it and asked if you liked it.

Sometimes it's a website. Sometimes it's not. A better way to take bookings, a tool your team uses every day, or your logo and colours sorted. Whatever it is, you use the real thing on your phone and on a computer before you approve it.

Build — the live site

Run

Who's actually looking after all of this?

  • Something broke and nobody is sure who owns it.
  • You're paying for four tools and typing the same thing into three of them.
  • You were quoted a custom build for something your current software already does.

I start with how the work actually gets done, not with what software you own. We decide together whether to use what you've got, buy, or build. Then I'm the one who keeps it running.

Grow

What's next, and what will it need?

  • Someone wants to work with you and there is nothing to send them.
  • You're saying yes to everything because you can't tell which ones are worth it.
  • Something good is about to happen and you're not sure the business can take it.

Build and Run are about what you have. This is about what's coming. A partnership, a second location, a launch, a busy season. I work out what it will need, then we make it. Every phase gets a number before it starts, and every gate can say stop.

Approach

Whether it is a website, a growth plan, or the tools behind both — here is how every engagement works.

  1. 01

    Look

An honest look at what's actually in the way. How people find you, what happens when they do, and where it falls apart. No pitch. Just a clear picture.

  2. 02

    Plan

A written scope with a fixed price. Could be a website. Could be a tools overhaul. Could be a growth plan. You know what you are getting and what it costs before anything starts. Payment plans available.

  3. 03

    Build

If something needs to be built: real, working pages — not mockups, not slide decks. Your own portal where you can see the timeline, review progress, and request changes. Nothing goes live without your approval.

  4. 04

    Set up

If your tools need work: connected, configured, and working together. If you already pay for the right software, I set up what you have instead of selling you something new. If you need something new, it goes in your name.

  5. 05

    Grow

If you need to be found: your search presence, your Google Business Profile, your structured data. If you need materials: the one-pager, the pitch, the plan with numbers on it. If you need a strategy: a roadmap with checkpoints that can say go, adjust, or stop.

  6. 06

    Launch

Whatever was scoped — tested, documented, and in your name.

  7. 07

    Walkthrough

A walkthrough and a written guide covering what was done, how it works, and how to make changes. You can run it from here.

After the walkthrough

Then you decide. None of the three is the default.

  1. Run it yourself

The walkthrough and the guide are enough. You have got it from here.

    No further cost
  2. Learn it deeper

Structured training on your tools and the workflows around them, scoped to what you actually use.

    Quoted per scope
  3. Have me handle it

Monthly care: hosting, updates, monitoring, and a report written in plain English.

On every project, no exceptions

One person owns it, start to finish.

Everything is in your name from day one.

I will tell you when you do not need to build anything.

No project managers, no handoffs between departments. The person who planned it builds it, tests it, and walks you through it.

About

Novell is a practice, not an agency.

I spent my career shipping software inside large technology companies. I spend it now on owner-led businesses. You deal with the person doing the work. No account manager, no handoff between departments, nobody to check with.

Large companies are very good at building things that did not need to exist. Most of what I learned there is about saying no early, and almost none of it reaches businesses your size. That is the gap this practice exists to close.

Talk

Let’s start with your web presence.

An honest read on where your business stands online, what’s working, and what it would take to fix it. No pressure to buy anything.

You own everything

  • Your domain, in your name
  • Your site and your accounts
  • 30 days’ notice, keep all of it

Won’t promise

  • Page one of Google
  • A traffic number
  • That you need something built

Will commit to

  • A fixed price in writing
  • A walkthrough, so you can run it
  • A page that loads fast, and the number to prove it
  • Reporting you can read

I won’t add you to anything. Privacy
